The Super 4 clash between India and Pakistan was another one-sided affair, with India defeating them by 6 wickets to extend their dominance to 7-0 in T20I matches.
Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill made the tricky target look effortless. They gave India a rapid head start in the power play, scoring 69/0, with a trademark Abhishek six off Shaheen Afridi to kick off the innings.
Abhishek’s Explosive 79 Steals the Show
Pakistan managed to post 171/5 in their 20 overs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan anchored the innings with a half-century, while the rest of the batters combined for a modest but important 20-run push. India’s bowlers had a weak start, allowing the Pakistan batters to settle. On a rare off day for Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, Pakistan found momentum early. However, Shivam Dube unexpectedly turned the game around with two key wickets, stopping Pakistan from pushing past 180.

India’s chase of 172 was led by Abhishek Sharma, who tore into the Pakistan bowlers all around the ground. He brought up his first fifty of the tournament and ended with 79 off just 39 balls. At the other end, Shubman Gill played a stylish knock of 48, full of precise timing and control, complementing Abhishek perfectly.
Although Pakistan tried to claw back into the game by taking three quick wickets, including the dismissal of the Indian skipper for a 3-ball duck, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya steadied the innings. Their composed partnership helped India complete the chase inside 19 overs, humbling Pakistan once again..
